CMi2i is pleased to announce that Gloria Torta has joined from Nasdaq to lead the firm’s Iberian & Latin American division. Her announcement comes as CMi2i opens its Madrid and Milan offices, continuing its expansion.
“I’m thrilled to join CMi2i as it begins its next phase of growth as a company. It is an exciting time here with the focus on ESG products, expansion of the transactional support team and launch of additional advisory services. CMi2i has crucially important intelligence to offer clients and I’m looking forward to educating the issuers in my regions as to what is possible,” commented Gloria.
With over 15 years of capital markets experience and a deep insight into the Iberian & Latin American markets, Gloria joins CMi2i with unique expertise. She previously held roles at Banco Santander Paris, BBVA London, Bloomberg London and most recently at Thomson Reuters and Nasdaq. She has provided capital markets solutions to some of the world’s leading issuers and assisted clients with diverse market caps, sectors and regulatory frameworks in reaching their IR goals.
Mark Simms, CEO of CMi2i, said, “The Iberian and Latin American regions have always been a focus for us as a company. We believe that issuers there have a clear requirement for the intelligence we provide, but may not be fully aware of the solutions that are available. Getting this information out is particularly important now given the increased debt restructuring and shareholder activism we are seeing.”
He continues, “We couldn’t be more delighted to have Gloria on board. With her expertise, we hope to demonstrate to Iberian and Latin American companies how high quality intelligence can truly transform an IR programme, transaction or proxy battle.”
CMi2i, the world’s leading forensic capital markets intelligence firm, specialises in the most accurate Equity & Debtholder identification service and supports issuers and their advisors with investor relations, M&A, virtual AGMs/EGMs, shareholder activism, ESG investment and capital restructuring goals.
